This pheromone effectively attracts both male and female palm weevils, making it a crucial tool for monitoring and controlling palm weevil infestations in crops like coconut and date palms. Its efficacy can be enhanced by using it in combination with plant volatiles, allowing for more accurate assessment of pest risks and the implementation of targeted control measures.
