(Z,E)-5,7-Dodecadienyl propionate is a key female sex pheromone component isolated and identified from females of some Noctuidae pests such as Agrotis ipsilon. In the application of insect pheromones, it is mainly used for the monitoring and green control of such Noctuidae pests. It is often used as a core attractive active component alone or in combination with a small amount of other synergistic pheromone components.
