Application | (Z,Z)-3,6-cis-9,10-Epoxyheneicosadiene is a key pheromone component isolated and identified from female adults of the gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar). It is mainly used for population monitoring and green control of this forestry pest. It can be used as a specific attractant to prepare trapping systems, accurately capturing male moths to grasp their occurrence time and density. It can also interfere with the chemical communication between male and female moths by releasing this pheromone over a large area, reducing the natural mating rate, thereby reducing the feeding damage of larvae to tree leaves. |
