Application | (E)-10-Dodecen-1-ol is a key sex pheromone component isolated from female individuals of various fruit-boring pests such as the oriental fruit moth (Grapholita molesta). In the application of insect pheromones, it is often used as a core attractive component or compounded with a small amount of other pheromone derivatives to form a specific attractant, which is applied to accurately monitor the field occurrence regularity and population density of target pests like the oriental fruit moth. It can also be used to disrupt their mating cycle by mass trapping male pests to achieve green control. Compared with the traditional sugar-vinegar liquid trapping method, its attractive specificity to target pests is improved by more than 40%. |
